Sandra Bullock and Jesse James still looked like a happy couple last weekend when they made an appearance at Walmart's corporate office in Arkansas to push the DVD release of "The Blind Side."

We're told Sandra -- on stage Saturday with Jesse and Walmart president Mike Duke -- was in a great mood as she talked about the movie and her Oscar win.

Jesse James has issued a vague public apology to Sandra Bullock and his children, following a woman's claims that he's been having an affair with her.

In the apology, James never directly admits to having an affair, but says, "There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me."
James says a "vast majority" of the allegations made against him are "untrue and unfounded," but says, "It's because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way."
Jesse goes on to say, "This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. I am truly very sorry for the grief I have caused them. I hope one day they can find it in their hearts to forgive me."

The driver who accused Naomi Campbell of attacking him on Tuesday is now taking it all back ... and has even issued an apology to the supermodel for getting the cops involved.
Miodrag Mejdina's lawyer released a statement today, which says Miodrag reported the incident to the NYPD because he "got angry and overreacted."
In the statement, Miodrag -- who previously told cops Naomi hit him from behind and caused his head to hit the steering wheel -- now claims the incident was "blown out of proportion" and he wants to apologize to Naomi "for causing that to happen."
Meanwhile, Naomi released a statement which says, "I would like to put the last few days behind me and move on."

Tiger Woods made his big apology yesterday for his extramarital activities with cocktail waitresses all over the U.S. -- but how's it stack up against some other famous "I'm so sorry" speeches?

Along with Tiger's, here's President Bill Clinton's Zippergate admission from 1998 and Kobe Bryant's apology from 2003.
Question is ...

Tiger Woods does his best work on Sundays -- which works out just perfectly for the Buddhist temple near Tiger's home ... if Tiger is truly serious about returning to his Buddhist roots.
TMZ spoke to Howard Yeh of the Guang Ming Temple in nearby Orlando. Yeh teaches an English speaking class that meets every Sunday in a group style atmosphere.
The class focuses on helping people with their daily life practices. Yeh told us, "We welcome everyone. We get a lot of walk-ins ... He can just come right in."
Looks like the Dharma is in your court, Tiger.

Victoria Principal has settled a lawsuit with her former maid -- a suit alleging V.P. was a gun-wielding boss -- but there's no doubt Victoria came out on top.

The maid, Maribel Banegas, issued a formal letter of apology to Victoria - in other words, she waived the white flag. The letter is contained in settlement documents obtained by TMZ.
Banegas claimed Victoria flew into a rage at her Malibu home, fired the maid and then pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her.
Victoria countersued, claiming the maid was a lunatic, slamming doors, hurting her dog and demanding money. Victoria says she pulled the gun and cocked it out of fear.
In the letter of apology, attached to the settlement, Banegas says, "I can now understand why you felt that I was threatening to you, which, in turn, led you to defend yourself."
The maid goes on, apologizing for "any unintentional injury to your little dog, Mei-ling."
The terms of the settlement are confidential.

If only Tiger Woods' wife was as forgiving as his alleged mistress.

Rachel Uchitel heard Joy Behar's apology on "The View" this morning loud and clear -- and she forgives the gals for calling her a hooker on last week's show.
Rachel's lawyer, Gloria Allred, released a statement that read in part, "We accept ABC's apology and this resolves the matter with ABC. Our action and this apology should also send a message to the public that Rachel values her reputation and that she will consider all of her legal options against anyone or any entity which defames her."

Gloria Allred worked her magic again and managed to squeeze a slightly disingenuous-yet-televised apology out of Joy Behar for calling her client, Rachel Uchitel -- Tiger Woods' alleged mistress #1 -- a "hooker" on "The View."

Just moments ago on-air, Behar read the same statement that was sent out via press release last week ... and she didn't look happy about it.
As we previously reported, Rachel threatened to sue "The View" over Joy's comment -- and Allred didn't feel the written apology the show released was good enough.

Tiger Woods found time in his self-imposed exile to reach out to the people who mean the most to him -- his sponsors.
Tiger dropped another note on to his website yesterday saying, "As the final round of the Chevron World Challenge begins, I would like to extend my heartfelt thank you to everyone affiliated with the event, especially our amazing title sponsor, Chevron."
Tiger also thanked "all of our supporting sponsors" as well as the staff who worked on the event -- and then apologized to everyone saying, "I am so grateful to them for their efforts, and I am sincerely sorry I was unable to fulfill my duties as host and player in this important event."
Last week, Tiger used his website to offer his "profound apology" for his "transgressions" in the wake of that infamous car crash.

The U.S. Army is issuing an official apology to Ryan Seacrest -- after learning his alleged stalker is one of their own.

TMZ just spoke with Lt. Col. Nathan Banks, an Army spokesperson, who told us: "We apologize to Ryan Seacrest. Pending the outcome of the local investigation, the Army will decide what further action to take. We take all matters of our personnel seriously."
As TMZ first reported, Chidi Uzomah is currently a member of the U.S. Army reserves -- and is assigned to a special forces unit. Translation -- he's a very dangerous man.

So a rabbi and a d-bag walk into a building ...

We got Jon and Rabbi Shmuley -- Michael Jackson's former "spiritual advisor" -- heading into New York City's West Side Jewish Center last night, where they held a public dialogue in an attempt to make Jon look like less of a scumbag.
Inside, Jon reportedly apologized to Kate -- who wasn't there -- for "openly having relationships in the public eye" after their split, adding "if she would've done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off."
It's like Yom Kippur all over again ... .

"I'm sorry. I will be donating my favorite old cell phone to my Women's Conference partner Verizon through their HopeLine program that helps domestic violence shelters.
I invite anyone else who wants to recycle their old phone to join me.
That's my version of swift action with a higher purpose."

Speaking in a far more serious tone than he did last week -- David Letterman admitted on tonight's show how his wife Regina "has been horribly hurt by my behavior."

David continued by saying, "If you hurt a person, and it's your responsibility, you try to fix it ... so let me tell you folks, I have my work cut out for me."
Before addressing the situation with his wife, David was a bit more jovial -- apologizing to his staff members for subjecting them to all the drama caused by his situation ... then cracking a joke about hooking up with his announcer, Alan Kalter.
David also wanted to make it clear that his sexual exploits with staff members were a "thing of the past."
